Considering the Japanese's Super GT is a home grown championship held over nine rounds from the months of March until November it is by anyone's standard an unbelievable phenomena with a following Formula 1 would envy. But if you scratch the surface you will discover one of the biggest merchandising engine of any sport. With over 200 items available from the online store its a championship that hasn't missed a trick you can even send flowers to your favourite driver, at a cost of a 1000 Yen each. You can't but feel the popularity of the series would be know where if it wasn't for the Racequeens. Unlike in the UK the girls in Japan, and in other parts of Asia are treated with respect and idolised.
